Le Centre d’artistes Voix Visuelle établi à Ottawa, est un lieu de diffusion en art actuel qui soutient, accompagne et fait rayonner les pratiques des artistes francophones et francophiles auprès d’un vaste public.
La programmation du Centre met l’accent sur les arts numériques et médiatiques afin de favoriser le dialogue entre les artistes, leur communauté d’appartenance et le milieu des arts visuels contemporains. En parallèle de ses expositions, le Centre développe des formations et des activités de médiation culturelle destinées aux artistes, aux élèves et au grand public.
Par ses présentations, conférences et diverses initiatives, le Centre contribue à l’avancement de la compréhension et de l’appréciation des arts dans son milieu. Il soutient également l’émergence de la relève artistique grâce à des actions concertées avec le milieu scolaire.
Souhaitant élargir son impact, Voix Visuelle travaille activement au développement de réseaux et de partenariats afin de renforcer son champ d’action, de tisser des liens avec les communautés francophones en situation minoritaire, de favoriser la circulation des œuvres et d’accroître la visibilité des artistes sur un territoire élargi.
[:en]Le Centre d’artistes Voix Visuelle (the Centre) is a contemporary art exhibition space established in Ottawa, which supports and promotes the work of francophone and francophile artists to a wider audience. The programming of the Centre favours the digital arts in order to establish a dialogue between artists, the community to which they belong and the broader art world. The Centre also develops educational activities for artists, students and members of the public in connection with its exhibitions. It facilitates presentations, lectures and other activities that further the comprehension of art in its community. It supports young emerging artists through concerted activities in schools.
